Easy Company Registration Online in India – 5 Proven Steps to Register Your Business

Planning to start a Private Limited Company, One Person Company or LLP? Get Company Registration Online in India with professional guidance from DSCSign. Share your basic details, submit documents digitally and coordinate the incorporation process without repeated office visits.

Many entrepreneurs delay business registration because they expect complicated MCA forms, multiple visits, repeated document requests and confusion about company names, directors, capital and registered-office requirements.

DSCSign makes the initial Company Registration Online process straightforward. Start with one enquiry, share your proposed business name and basic details, and our team will guide you through the applicable registration requirements. You can coordinate the process from your home or workplace, even when you are located outside Bangalore.

Register Your Business in 5 Simple Steps

01. Enquire

Share your name, business idea and contact details.

02. Name Check

We screen the proposed name for availability and possible conflicts.

03. Documents

Share the required identity, address and office documents digitally.

04. MCA Filing

We prepare and coordinate the applicable incorporation forms.

05. Incorporation

Receive the approved incorporation documents after MCA approval.

What Details Do You Need to Start Company Registration Online?

You do not need to understand the entire MCA process before contacting us. Initially, share your preferred company name and alternatives, a one-line description of your business activity, proposed directors or partners, approximate capital and intended registered-office location with PIN code.

Our team reviews these details, explains the suitable business structure and provides the document checklist. PAN, identity proof, address proof, contact details and other supporting documents may be required depending on the proposed entity and persons involved.

Quick Company Registration Enquiry

Fill in the basic details below. Our help desk will receive your enquiry on WhatsApp and guide you on the next steps.

Please do not enter PAN, Aadhaar or other sensitive identity details in this initial enquiry form. Our team will explain the secure document-sharing process separately.

No Need to Visit Our Bangalore Office

DSCSign operates from Sahakarnagar, Bangalore – 560092, and provides online company incorporation assistance across India, including Jammu & Kashmir. Standard domestic applications can generally be coordinated through electronic document sharing and MCA filing. Specific cases may require additional authentication or formalities.

One important distinction: you do not need to visit our office, but your company must still have a valid registered-office address in India. Appropriate address proof and permission to use the premises must be provided as required under company law.

Company Registration Professional Fee Starts at ₹6,000

Our professional fee starts at ₹6,000, plus applicable MCA/government charges and state stamp duty. The final cost depends on the entity structure, authorised capital, registered-office state and additional requirements. We explain the charges before proceeding.

For straightforward applications, our target is to complete the professional filing process in approximately five working days after receiving all required documents, signatures and confirmations. Separate name reservation, MCA queries or resubmissions may add time. Final approval and timing remain subject to MCA processing.

Company Registration Online – 6 Details Required to Register Your Business

Planning to register a new business? You do not need to prepare complicated MCA forms yourself. To begin Company Registration Online, DSCSign needs six basic details about your proposed business. This helps us identify the suitable legal structure, check the proposed name and prepare the correct document checklist.

1. Proposed Company Name

Share your preferred name and one or two alternatives. The name should be distinctive and suitable for your proposed business activity and legal structure.

Example: BluePeak Foods Private Limited.

2. Business Activity

Explain what your business will actually do. This helps determine the appropriate objects and proposed activity in the incorporation documents.

Example: Food manufacturing, IT software services or online retail trading.

3. Directors, Shareholders or Partners

Tell us how many people will establish and own the business. For a company, share the proposed directors and shareholders; for an LLP, share the proposed partners and designated partners.

The minimum number and eligibility depend on the selected structure.

4. Proposed Capital or Contribution

For a company, indicate the proposed authorised and subscribed share capital. For an LLP, provide an estimated partner contribution.

We will explain how the capital decision affects applicable registration costs.

5. Registered Office Address

Provide the proposed office address, city, state and PIN code. This helps identify the relevant state stamp duty and registered-office documentation.

Address proof and owner consent may be required at the document stage.

6. Contact Details

Share the main contact person’s name, mobile number and email address. Our team will use these details to clarify requirements and coordinate the registration process.

Example – Details for a New Company Registration

Here is an illustrative format showing how you can organise your initial business information before starting the incorporation process.

Proposed name: BluePeak Foods Private Limited
Alternative name: BluePeak Ventures Private Limited
Business activity: Food manufacturing
Proposed structure: Private Limited Company
Directors / Shareholders: 2
Proposed capital: To be discussed
Registered office: Bangalore, Karnataka – PIN code
Contact person: Name, mobile number and email

What Happens After You Share These Details?

Our team reviews the information, checks the proposed business structure, carries out a preliminary company name screening and explains the supporting documents. We also clarify the applicable professional fee, government charges and stamp duty before you confirm the engagement.

Not sure about the company name, capital or number of directors? That is perfectly fine. Share the information available with you. DSCSign will help organise the requirements before preparing your Company Registration Online application through the MCA system.

Company Name Approval – Check MCA Availability Before Applying

You have selected a name for your new business, designed a logo and perhaps even purchased a domain. But will the Ministry of Corporate Affairs approve that name? A name that looks available on a normal internet search may still be rejected because it resembles an existing company, LLP or registered trademark.

That is why we recommend checking the proposed name before starting the incorporation filing. DSCSign conducts a preliminary MCA name search and trademark screening to identify possible conflicts and suggest alternatives.

What Makes a Company Name Acceptable?

A proposed name should be distinctive, suitable for the proposed business and comply with the Companies (Incorporation) Rules. A useful starting format is a distinctive brand name followed by a business-related expression and the correct company suffix.

Example 1: BluePeak Foods Private Limited

Example 2: Nexora Software Solutions Private Limited

The distinctive element helps identify the proposed business, while the remaining words describe its activity and legal structure. These are illustrative names, not confirmation of availability.

Our Free Preliminary Name Check

MCA Name Search

Check similar company and LLP names in MCA records.

Trademark Screening

Look for potentially conflicting registered marks and applications.

Alternative Names

Suggest other distinctive options if the preferred name carries a risk.

Apply Together or Reserve the Name First?

Under the MCA’s SPICe+ system, you can submit Part A separately for name reservation, then proceed with incorporation after approval. Alternatively, Part A and Part B can be submitted together when the proposed name and incorporation details are ready.

We help select the suitable route based on the name’s availability, the possibility of objections and readiness of the incorporation documents. If the name is approved, we coordinate the subsequent filing within the applicable reservation period.

Important:

An MCA name search or trademark database screening is a preliminary check, not an official approval or guarantee of exclusive brand rights. Final name approval rests with the Registrar, and trademark protection requires separate consideration under trademark law.

At DSCSign, we prefer to identify name-related problems before filing rather than asking you to repeatedly change your proposed name after an MCA objection. Once the name route is settled, our team moves forward with the incorporation documents and electronic filing.

For detailed private-company incorporation assistance, see our Private Limited Company Registration service.

Company Registration Documents – What Can You Submit Online?

You do not normally need to print and courier your incorporation documents to our Bangalore office. For a standard Indian company incorporation, the required information and supporting documents can generally be collected as clear digital copies and processed through the MCA electronic filing system.

1. Promoter and Director Documents

  • PAN card of Indian individual subscribers/directors, as applicable.
  • Aadhaar and other identity details, where applicable.
  • Accepted identity and current residential address proof.
  • Personal mobile number and email address.
  • Existing DIN details, if already allotted.
  • Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), or arrangements to obtain one where required.

2. Registered Office Documents

  • Electricity, water or other accepted utility bill, generally not older than two months.
  • Rent agreement, lease deed or ownership document, as applicable.
  • No-objection certificate or owner’s consent where required.
  • Complete office address with PIN code.

3. Business and Shareholding Details

We also collect your proposed company name, business activity, authorised capital, subscriber investment and proposed shareholding. These details help us prepare the Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA) and incorporation application correctly.

Do You Need to Send Passport-Size Photographs?

MCA’s SPICe+ FAQ states that subscriber photographs are not required as attachments in the SPICe+ forms. Separate identity verification or DSC-provider requirements may still apply depending on the case.

How We Make Document Sharing Easy

Send Soft Copies

Share clear document scans through WhatsApp or email.

Our Team Checks

We check names, address details, document validity and missing information.

Prepare and File

We prepare the applicable incorporation forms and coordinate digital signatures and submission.

Special cases may need additional documents. Foreign directors or shareholders, corporate subscribers, OPCs, Section 8 companies and certain regulated activities have additional requirements. We identify these before filing so you are not surprised by a later document request.

At DSCSign, the intention is to avoid repeatedly asking you for the same information. Our team collects the required details in an organised manner, prepares the documents and guides you through digital authentication and MCA submission. You can complete the standard registration process without personally visiting our office.

Company Registration Cost – Starting at ₹6,000

Worried that company registration will cost a lot? At DSCSign, our professional fee for standard company registration starts at ₹6,000. Government fees and applicable state stamp duty are charged separately, so you know what you are paying for.

Understand Your Registration Cost

DSCSign professional fee: Starting at ₹6,000

Government charges: As applicable under MCA fee rules

Stamp duty: Depends on the state in which the registered office is situated and the applicable capital and entity structure

Additional requirements: DSC procurement or other optional services, where applicable, are explained separately.

Why Does Government Fee Differ?

Company registration cost is not identical across India. It depends on the proposed entity, authorised share capital, registered-office state, applicable stamp duty and any additional filing requirements.

There is also an important benefit for eligible new companies: the MCA provides a zero filing-fee concession for companies with authorised share capital up to ₹15 lakh, subject to the applicable rules. This does not mean that every government charge is zero; stamp duty and applicable linked charges may still be payable.

Do You Need to Pay the Full Amount Upfront?

No need to commit the entire professional fee before work begins. We explain the charges and agree on the payment stages with you. You can make payment as the registration work progresses and the agreed filing stage is reached.

Our Cost-Saving Approach

We help you select a suitable business structure and practical capital based on your requirements. This avoids unnecessary expenditure at incorporation and helps you consider future annual compliance costs as well.

Before proceeding, our team shares the proposed professional fee, applicable government charges and expected filing expenses. This way, you can understand the registration budget rather than discovering additional costs halfway through the process.

For a detailed breakdown of Private Limited Company Registration charges, contact DSCSign with your proposed capital and registered-office state.

How Many Days Does Company Registration Take?

Company registration can be completed in around 5 working days in a straightforward case, provided the proposed name is acceptable and all documents, details and digital signatures are ready. The actual timeline depends on MCA processing and whether any clarification or resubmission is required.

Our working estimate
Around 5 working days
For a straightforward application after receipt of complete information and documents. This is an indicative service estimate, not a guaranteed MCA approval deadline.

Company Registration Process and Timeline

STEP 1

Name and Structure Check

We review your proposed company name, business activity and suitable business structure.

STEP 2

Documents and DSC

Promoter details, address proofs, registered-office documents and digital signatures are arranged.

STEP 3

MCA Application

We prepare and submit the applicable SPICe+ forms and linked incorporation documents.

STEP 4

MCA Approval

After approval, the Certificate of Incorporation and applicable registration details are made available.

What if You Apply for Name Approval Separately?

You can apply for name reservation separately before filing the incorporation application. Based on our working estimate, the name approval stage may take around 2 working days, followed by approximately 5 working days for the incorporation filing after the name is approved and the remaining documents are ready. These are indicative estimates; MCA scrutiny, name objections and resubmissions can extend the timeline.

Important: The timeline may increase if the proposed name is rejected, documents contain discrepancies, additional clarification is requested or the MCA portal requires resubmission. We will explain the issue and assist with the required correction.

For a Private Limited Company, see our Private Limited Company Registration service for the specific incorporation requirements.

Share your proposed company name and basic details with DSCSign. We will review the requirements, explain the likely process and guide you through the filing stages.

Which Business Structure Should You Choose for Company Registration?

Before you register a business, choose the right legal structure. A business owned by two founders, a professional services firm, a non-profit organisation and an agricultural producer group may all need different forms of registration.

Do not select a structure only because its registration fee is lower. Consider ownership, personal liability, investment plans, management, tax treatment and annual compliance. DSCSign reviews these points before preparing the incorporation application.

POPULAR FOR STARTUPS

Private Limited Company

Suitable for businesses planning to bring in investors, issue shares, build a management team or expand operations. It offers a separate legal identity and limited liability for shareholders, subject to the law.

PROFESSIONALS & PARTNERS

Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)

Often suitable for consultants, professional firms and service businesses that want a separate legal entity with a flexible partner-based operating arrangement. An LLP is registered under the LLP Act, 2008, not as a company under the Companies Act.

LARGER OWNERSHIP BASE

Public Limited Company

May suit businesses seeking a broader shareholder base and a structure capable of raising capital from the public, subject to applicable Companies Act and securities law requirements.

NON-PROFIT PURPOSE

Section 8 Company

Designed for eligible objectives such as education, research, social welfare, charity, sports or environmental protection. Profits must be applied towards its objects, and payment of dividends to members is prohibited.

FARMER & PRODUCER GROUPS

Producer Company

A specialised company structure for eligible primary producers and producer institutions. It can support activities connected with production, harvesting, procurement, marketing and other permitted producer-related objectives.

SPECIAL REGULATORY CATEGORY

Nidhi and Chit Fund Companies

These are not ordinary business registrations. Nidhi companies are subject to specific Companies Act provisions and Nidhi Rules. Chit fund activities are governed by separate chit fund legislation and applicable registration and approval requirements.

What About One Person Company (OPC)?

An One Person Company is a form of private company that can be incorporated with one member, subject to statutory requirements. It may suit an individual entrepreneur who wants a company structure without bringing in a second shareholder at the outset.

Is a Group Company a Separate Registration Type?

Not by itself. A group structure may involve a holding company, subsidiary or associate company, depending on ownership and control. The proposed relationship between entities should be reviewed before incorporation so that the shareholding and governance arrangements are correctly planned.

Not Sure Which Structure Is Right?

Tell us what your business does, how many people will own it and whether you plan to seek investment. Our team will explain the suitable registration options, their compliance responsibilities and the likely cost before proceeding.

For a standard startup or growing business, explore our Private Limited Company Registration service. For a partner-led business, you can also read about Partnership Registration.

What Documents Will You Receive After Company Registration?

Once the Registrar of Companies approves the incorporation application, you receive the official registration documents and applicable identification details. These confirm that your company has been incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013.

For a standard company incorporation through MCA’s SPICe+ process, the main outputs generally include the following, depending on the company type and services selected.

01 · INCORPORATION PROOF

Certificate of Incorporation

The official MCA certificate confirming that the company has been registered. It contains the company’s Corporate Identification Number (CIN).

02 · TAX IDENTIFICATION

Company PAN and TAN

PAN and TAN are allotted through the integrated incorporation process. The PAN is mentioned on the Certificate of Incorporation; the details are also communicated through email.

03 · DIRECTOR IDENTIFICATION

Director Identification Number

DIN is allotted to proposed directors who require a new DIN through the incorporation application. Existing DIN holders do not receive a new DIN.

04 · COMPANY CONSTITUTION

e-MOA and e-AOA

The Memorandum of Association records the company’s objectives, while the Articles of Association contain its internal governance rules. Applicable electronic or attached versions form part of the incorporation process.

05 · OPTIONAL TAX REGISTRATION

GST Registration

GSTIN can be applied for through the linked incorporation process. It is an optional application at this stage, not an automatic registration for every company.

06 · LINKED SERVICES

Other Applicable Applications

The linked forms also provide for applicable EPFO and ESIC registrations and a request for opening a company bank account. The relevant authority or bank may have further processing and verification requirements.

Is a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Issued with Company Registration?

No. A DSC is not a certificate issued along with the Certificate of Incorporation. A Digital Signature Certificate is a separate digital credential used to authenticate electronic filings and documents. The required subscribers or directors must arrange valid DSCs for signing the incorporation documents, as applicable.

Important after incorporation

Receiving the Certificate of Incorporation does not mean that every business registration or post-incorporation compliance is complete. Requirements such as commencement-of-business filing, registered-office verification, auditor appointment and other statutory compliances may still need attention, depending on the company and its circumstances.

At DSCSign, we share the applicable incorporation documents with you and explain the next compliance steps. Our team can also assist with MCA and ROC filings and GST and Income Tax services.

Register your company with the right documentation from the beginning. Share your proposed business details with our team for an incorporation review.

The incorporation process is handled through the MCA portal. You can share the required details and scanned documents online, review the forms and complete the applicable digital signing formalities remotely. Our team coordinates the preparation and filing with you at each stage.

04

MCA Filing Support

We prepare and submit the applicable forms and keep you informed about the filing status.

Does Your Company Need a Registered Office Address?

Yes. Every company must have a registered office in India for receiving official communications and notices. You do not need to use the DSCSign office address. You can provide an eligible address for your company, subject to the applicable registered-office requirements and supporting documents.

Depending on the address and property arrangement, the documents may include proof of the premises, a recent utility bill and the owner’s consent or No Objection Certificate. A residential address may also be considered where the applicable requirements are met.

Please note:

Remote coordination does not remove the legal requirement for a valid registered office. Additional identity verification, document authentication or other formalities may apply in certain cases, including where a director or subscriber is outside India.

Prefer a Personal Consultation in Bangalore?

Our office is in Sahakar Nagar, Bangalore – 560092. You can meet our team for a company registration discussion by prior appointment. Personal meetings are generally scheduled between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

What Should You Do After Company Registration?

Your company is incorporated. What next? You need to activate the business properly, complete the initial statutory formalities and identify the registrations applicable to your activity. Missing early compliance deadlines can create avoidable penalties and difficulties when the company starts operating.

At DSCSign, we guide newly incorporated companies through the important post-registration steps rather than stopping at the Certificate of Incorporation.

Your Post-Incorporation Compliance Checklist

WITHIN 30 DAYS

First Board Meeting

The Board generally needs to hold its first meeting within 30 days of incorporation. The meeting records the initial decisions and authorisations of the company. Statutory relaxations apply to certain company categories.

WITHIN 30 DAYS

Appoint the First Auditor

For a company other than a Government company, the Board must appoint the first statutory auditor within 30 days of registration. If the Board fails, the members must appoint the auditor at an extraordinary general meeting within the prescribed 90-day period.

WITHIN 2 MONTHS

Issue Share Certificates

For a company with share capital, share certificates for the subscribers to the Memorandum must generally be delivered within two months from incorporation. The company should also maintain the required share and statutory records.

WITHIN 180 DAYS

File Form INC-20A

A company having share capital must file the declaration of commencement of business in Form INC-20A. The declaration confirms that subscribers have paid for the shares they agreed to take.

Do Not Ignore Form INC-20A

Under Section 10A of the Companies Act, a company having share capital must not commence business or exercise borrowing powers until the required declaration is filed and registered-office verification has been completed. The declaration must be filed within 180 days of incorporation.

Failure can attract a ₹50,000 penalty on the company and a penalty of ₹1,000 per day on every officer in default, subject to a maximum of ₹1 lakh. The Registrar may also initiate action for removal of the company’s name where the statutory conditions are met.

Open a Company Bank Account and Deposit Share Capital

Use the incorporation documents and company PAN to complete the bank’s account-opening process. The subscribers should pay the share subscription amount agreed in the Memorandum into the company’s bank account. Keep the bank evidence and payment records ready for the applicable commencement-of-business declaration.

Which Registrations Does Your Business Need?

Not every company needs every registration. The requirements depend on the nature of business, turnover, employee strength, location and applicable law.

  • GST Registration: Based on the applicable turnover threshold, nature of supply and other compulsory-registration conditions.
  • Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments: Where the establishment and business activity fall within the applicable registration requirements.
  • PF and ESI: Depending on employee strength, establishment coverage and applicable statutory conditions.
  • FSSAI: For businesses carrying on activities covered by food safety laws.
  • Import Export Code: Where required for import or export activities.
  • Udyam Registration: For eligible micro, small and medium enterprises seeking applicable MSME recognition and benefits.

Annual Audit, ROC Filing and Income Tax Compliance

After the initial formalities, the company must maintain its books of account, prepare financial statements, complete the statutory audit and file applicable annual returns and financial statements with the ROC. Income-tax returns and other tax filings must also be completed as applicable.

Common ROC annual filing forms include AOC-4 for financial statements and MGT-7 or MGT-7A, as applicable, for the annual return. The filing deadlines and forms depend on the company’s category and circumstances.

Company Registration Is Only the Beginning – We Support Your Business After Incorporation

Many business owners complete company registration and then struggle to identify which forms, tax registrations, accounts and annual filings are due next. Missing a compliance deadline can result in additional fees, notices and avoidable legal complications.

DSCSign provides continued CA, CS, tax and compliance support so that you can focus on running your business while our team assists with the applicable statutory and accounting work.

MCA and ROC Compliance

Annual returns, financial statement filings, auditor-related forms, director changes, share capital changes and other applicable company law filings.

Legal and Professional Support

How Does Our Ongoing Compliance Support Work?

  1. Understand your business: We review your company’s activity, registrations, employee position and reporting requirements.
  2. Agree on the scope: You receive clarity on the services covered, filing responsibilities, documents required and professional fees.
  3. Organise the records: We coordinate accounting data, invoices, bank statements and other supporting information.
  4. Prepare and complete filings: Our team assists with the agreed returns, statements and statutory forms.
  5. Plan upcoming compliance: We help identify recurring obligations and the information needed for future filings.

Practical Example: A Newly Incorporated Company

Consider a Bangalore startup that has received its Certificate of Incorporation but has not yet arranged its auditor, deposited the initial share subscription or reviewed its GST and commencement-of-business requirements. Instead of treating incorporation as the final step, the founders can obtain a post-incorporation compliance review and a clear action list based on their company details.

This is the approach we recommend: identify the obligations first, confirm what applies, and then complete the required work within the relevant timelines.
